When are we going?

"When are we going?"
Art on the Avenue Gallery SOLD
11"x14" oil on gessoed masonite
in rustic barnwood frame

This painting is another in the "Different Strokes from Different Folks" challenge by Karin Jurick, where many artists take the same reference and make it uniquely their own. In this case, the photo was of a worn pair of boots that looked remarkably like mine! My dog, Spaz, knows when I pull them out of the closet that he is going to get to share time with me... either in the garden or hiking through the woods. He can't wait for me to put them on and gets so rambunctious that I have to tell him to "WAIT!" This is his 'waiting' expression... ya gotta love him!

Oh, Pat, this painting is WONderful!!! This is definitely your best DSFDF painting yet. I love Spaz' expression and his blueness (look at those big eyes), and the boots' colors and just how you showed them. I need to go see if Karin posted this yet, because I can't wait for other people to discover it. GREAT job!

Also, your painting of Robin is so good and I that was a very sweet thing to do for your husband. I'm sorry you lost her. That C-word has been in my family, too so I relate.

Excellent job, Pat!

I love your take on the challenge. This one really caught my eye. So interesting to see how differently we all do the same image. Check mine out , I went a whole different way.
